Daily Greeting
I bought those Skinny Cow Fudge Sickles. Taste too good. I'm thinking buying one "real" fudge sickle, occassionally, might be better than trucking in a whole box of "low cal" treats. I find I do better w/one serving of a sweet in the house. We'll see. Any opinions on this subject? I know food shouldn't be a reward. But occasionally, I like to have a desert. Slippery slope though. Managing okay, for now.

Re: Daily Greeting
i have a plan of attack for the week which inc**** having same lunch every day.and planning in a nutritous snack in even. A snack that fits my calorie goal for week. This week I'll try 1/2 cup oatmeal with soy milk, 5 walnut pieces, 1 tsp brown sugar. That oughta do it. Want to keep myself from feeling deprived and stave off late night munchies. This carb blast is after my workouts, so should be okay. We'll see won't we. I've lost 1 pound this week, but the needle on my scale was twitching.

Re: Daily Greeting
Winter cold here. Craving warming foods. Warming foods to me are carbs or soup. I ate soup for weeks, and to great results. But for right now, I'm tired of soup. Tired of good results on my weight loss plan too, apparently. More later.

Re: Daily Greeting
My best doesn't always look perfect, but it's my best. That's good enough for today. I can live with that.

Re: Daily Greeting
keep doing your best even if its going to the gym and doing a very light workout even just walking --- the habit of going there every day will help in those times when you dont feel like it sometimes the best is great , ---but a tired best is still forward progress

Re: Daily Greeting
In a year I won't be a newbie. That'll be nice. Hope someone joins me for a chat by then. If no, I'll keep plugging away. Off for a walk, and then the gym on this rainy Saturday. Cold out there, wet. Hard to go out there. But it's got to be done. My initial goal of a "no excuses" week turned into the most excuse filled week I've had since I began. So today, I'll start anew.
