Hello out there
Newbie coming through! I just found this site and am hoping that it is what I need to get on the right track to fitness. I am not overweight but would like to lose 13 pounds. I have never been one to stick to a program because of boredom, but maybe this is what I need! Most importantly I need to really build some muscle and get tone and improve my eating habits. I have a great positive attitude but maybe need some help in the discipline department!

Re: Hello out there
Hi Sara - You've come to the right place! ;-) This is a great site. We need some people to post to the groups more regularly, but the product is great, and Rob the Trainer is really awesome to answer questions. He knows his stuff!
Good luck, and keep your chin up! J

Re: Hello out there
Hi. I'm new here as of today and have a couple of unbiased quesitons from members. First, if I join and get a trainer, will they outline an exercise/nutrition program specifically for me? And second, what is an H.I.I.T. and an Elliptical Trainer?
Thank you in advance. I hope this group will help support me and others in following through with HEALTH!

Re: Hello out there
H.I.I.T - High Intensity Interval Training - it is a technique that is used to do your cardio workouts by going very hard for short durations of time followed by a recovery period that is at least double the hard output session..
An example of this would be Sprint/Walk or Sprint/Jog intervals
You would Sprint for lets say 30 seconds all out after a 5 minute moderate jog warmup for your muscles and then Jog/or Walk for about 1 1/2 minutes to recover and get your heart rate back down again!

Re: Hello out there
H.I.I.T - Is by far the most effective form of Cardio Training you can perform for the greatest way to lose fat Fast....
You can do H.I.I.T training with any piece of equipment - Treadmill, Elliptical machine, Rowing Machine, Run, Bicycle, etc......

Re: Hello out there
Elliptical Trainer - is nothing more than a Cardio piece of equipment that has NO impact on your lower body, but helps you get a smooth and steady cardio workout.
You can find these pieces of equipment online or in any fitness center or local gym.

Re: Hello out there
Thank you ONCE AGAIN for clarifications and the "welcome" Rob, I'm so glad to be here. I'll be starting my workout regime tomorrow and am so tempted to start now, but this is a good practice in dicipline for me.

Re: Hello out there
Hello Everyone,
I am new and looking to lose 20 pounds within 3 months. Any suggestions on making this happen. Also, I am not very active but have enrolled in a 10 mile 10,000 step marathon for Diabetes for October 6. Looking to get my cardio into shape as well
